The terminal

Mir 18 is a corner for adults, built on a modest promise: you leave every conversation with a real phrase from somewhere else. We went live in late 2026, and each of the sixteen is an AI character.

What this is

We invented 16 women from as many countries, gave each a trade, a hometown and a way of writing English, and put a common greeting or toast of her language at the front of her chat. You pick a country and she talks. The idea is a small one, a postcard per conversation, and we intend to keep it small.

On the name

Mir is a word for world in several languages, and we use it only in that sense. The 18 marks the entry age for visitors and is not the age of anyone you will meet. Nothing in the name says anything about where the site is run from, and no country is aimed at.

What we will not do

• Connect you with any living person; the gates lead nowhere real.
• Costume a character as a human, or the reverse; both are off the menu.
• Trade your chats, or hand an advertiser a single line.
• Place anyone under 18 in a scene, a disguise or a joke.

Writing to the desk

A human reads the mail at the desk address. Corrections to a phrase are especially welcome.
